Dirt pile slows traffic on Kamehameha Highway in Wahiawa

Advertiser Staff

A small landslide has occurred on the south side of Kamehameha Highway in the area of Karsten Thot Bridge in Wahiawa.

Police are on the scene now, but traffic is moving slowly as cars are being diverted onto the shoulder for southbound traffic.

Road crews are expected to remove the dirt within the next couple of hours. Traffic, however, is slow going through the area. Police are advising motorists to use an alternate route if heading to the North Shore via Wilikina Drive to Kamananui, then back onto Kamehameha Highway by the Pineapple Variety Garden.
