City crews today installed a 57-foot Norfolk pine on the front lawn of Honolulu Hale.

The tree was harvested from the front yard of a home in 'Aiea owned by Marie Rose Perry, whose father gave her the tree, a city news release said.

Perry's son-in-law, Sterling Ohia, is a former Honolulu Police Department motorcycle officer who has escorted the city's harvested Christmas tree in the past.
