'Messiah' public singalong Nov. 23

 •  Proposition 8 backlash hits Mormons

The Community Sing Along of Handel's "Messiah" will be held at 4 p.m. Nov. 23 at Christ Church Uniting Disciples and Presbyterians, 1300 Kailua Road.

Singers are asked to arrive an hour early with their music, but listeners are welcome, too.

KABBALAH CENTRE OFFERS WORKSHOP

The Kabbalah Centre is offering a free, two-hour lecture and workshop, "Kabbalah: The Best Kept Secret," at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Miramar Waikiki, 2345 Kuhio Ave.

The Kabbalah Centre is a non-profit organization, and is open to people of all faiths.

INTERFAITH LECTURE FREE AT MYSTICAL

The Rev. Joseph H. Lackner will give a free lecture, "Fragmentary Considerations Concerning Two Men and Two Trees," part of The Rev. Yoshiaki Fujitani Interfaith Program lecture series, at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Mystical Rose Oratory.

As provincial assistant for developing regions for the Marianist province of the United States, Lackner visits Eastern Africa, India, Korea and more.
