Hawaiian Telcom posts $40M loss in latest quarter

Hawaiian Telcom Inc. posted a $40.1 million net loss during the first quarter of this year, reversing a $15.5 million profit the local phone company reported in the year-earlier quarter.
Hawaiian Telcom said its revenues for the first quarter were down $4 million to $112.4 million as the company continued to lose business to wireless companies and other competitors.
