No. 1 Mid-Pacific rolls past 'Iolani to stay unbeaten, 20-3

Easton Torigoe went 4 for 4 with a double, homer and five RBIs, and top-ranked and host Mid-Pacific used two big innings to roll past Iolani, 20-3, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu game.

The Owls (8-0) scored 12 runs in the third inning and eight in the fourth in a game called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Russell Doi singled, homered and drove in four runs, and Mikey Nagamine went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for MPI.

Reyn Nagamine and Grant Iwamoto hit homers for 'Iolani (3-5).

DJ Andrade (2 for 4), Darby Ventura (2 for 4) and Taylor Kauweloa each drove in three runs, and Oli Meheula went 2 of 4 and drove in two runs as the visiting Monarchs (3-5) outslugged the Wolfpack (2-6) at Ala Wai Field.

Ross Yamato had a homer and four RBIs, and Reid Morihara had two hits and two RBIs for the Wolfpack.

Kailua rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh, but fell short.
