An elderly man and a 4-year-old girl were taken to an area hospital today after they got into trouble in a pool at an Ala Moana high-rise.

The near-drownings happened around 2 p.m.

Police said the 4-year-old was revived at the scene and is in good condition.

The elderly man's condition was not available, but police said he was not conscious when he was evacuated by ambulance.

Police said the two, who are related, were at the pool at a high-rise condominium at 1350 Ala Moana Blvd. It is unclear how the two got into trouble, but another man, also a relative, found the girl floating face down in the pool and the elderly man at the bottom.
