Weather: The trade winds are back in town

The trade winds are backing bringing the normal trade wind weather pattern with them, the National Weather Service said.

Rain showers will fall primarily over windward and mauka areas, forecasters said.

The trades will be fresh to locally strong due to a high pressure system north of the islands.

Here's how the next few days look at this point:

Today...Mostly sunny. Highs 83 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight...Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 74. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday...Mostly sunny. Highs 82 to 87. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

Friday Night...Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 74. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday...Sunny. Highs 82 to 87. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday Night...Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
