Sushishamba Strip restaurant opens Tuesday inside The Palazzo Las Vegas. Sugarcane Lounge will debut Thursday. At 14,000 square feet, the restaurant will offer a dining room that seats 150 people, a 21-person sushi bar and a main bar accommodating 35 people.

Bootleg Canyon Flightlines carries tourists down a series of overhead cables that start at the crest of the mountain range between Boulder City and Henderson. Riders drop 1,000 vertical feet across 1 1/2 miles of desert.

Club Spring Mountain Motorsports, a private motorsports/sports car country clubhouse has opened for drivers of all ages and experience. The clubhouse features an elevated two-story viewing tower and a comfortable bar and lounge, billiards and poker, private locker rooms, a conference room, a catering kitchen, a spa, pool, indoor/outdoor barbecue facilities and a fitness room. Terry Fator, winner of NBC's "America's Got Talent," will perform at The Mirage. The resort announced Fator signed a five-year deal, with an option for an additional five years. Fator will perform five shows a week in the 1,265-seat Terry Fator Theatre (currently the Danny Gans Theatre) beginning in February. The comic impersonator, along with his cast of seven puppets, combines the art of ventriloquism with celebrity impressions. Tickets will go on sale later this year. www.mgmmirage.com.

CityCenter resort casino, scheduled to open in late 2009, will be named ARIA. Designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, ARIA includes two curvilinear glass towers, a threestory lobby with open spaces and natural light, and warm interior design. The resort casino will include dining options, lounges, bars and nightclubs, a spa, a casino, pool and guest rooms.
