High surf advisory posted for south shores

Advertiser Staff

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for all south-facing shores on Oahu where surf of 5 to 8 feet is expected throughout the day.

Elsewhere, the forecast calls for surf of 2 to 4 feet along east-facing shores; 2 feet or less along north-facing shores; and 3 to 5 feet along west-facing shores.

The recently arrived south swell is expected to last through Sunday before a slow decline through the first half of the work week. A new small-to-moderate south swell is anticipated on Thursday.
