Weather: Mostly sunny with a few showers today

A high pressure area north of the islands will keep the trade winds flowing today, the National Weather Service said.

Wind speeds will decrease a bit as we head into the weekend.

Clouds and showers will favor windward and mauka areas.

Here's a more detailed look at the next few days.

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind between 9 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Friday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Friday night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
