Medical examiner studying bone found in Waikiki

Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office will try to determine today whether a partial human bone recovered Saturday at a Waikiki construction site is ancient or from a more recent incident.

The bone was found during excavation at 7:50 a.m. at a site undisclosed by police. A preliminary examination by an archaeologist at the site was inconclusive and the bone was turned over to the medical examiner's office.
