Radford High recycling will take all kinds of junk

Recyclers will pick up items from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Radford High School parking lot, 4361 Salt Lake Blvd.

Aloha 'Aina Earth Day is holding its 36th Recycling Community Clean-Up Project, taking recyclable material such as scrap metal, auto parts, bicycles, metal appliances, lawn mowers, pipes, beams, newspaper, cardboard, beverage containers, old tires, green waste, batteries, cellular phones, printer cartridges, computers, cooking oil and telephone books.

Proceeds will benefit Radford High School.

A document shredder will be available 8-11 a.m. and Goodwill Industries will take reusable household items and clothing.

To volunteer time, a van or truck for curb-side pickup, call Kelly Sur, 421-4200, ext. 332, or Rene Mansho, 306-1876.
