Brewbaker to discuss state's economic outlook

Paul Brewbaker, senior vice president and chief economist with Bank of Hawaii, will be the featured speaker at the Kaneohe Business Group meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pohai Nani Retirement Community.

The luncheon meeting is open to the public and costs $12, but reservations must be made by Monday.

Brewbaker is chairman of the Hawai'i Council on Revenues, which prepares the state revenue estimate each year. He will give his economic outlook and its implications for Hawai'i businesses for 2008 and beyond.

The business group will also honor Hardware Hawaii and its vice president of marketing, Larry Lanning, for their outstanding community support of the Windward Ho'olaulea and other projects.
