Advertiser staff

The Teleschool Branch of the Hawaii State Department of Education will run a special encore presentation of the half-hour program "Eazy Tunes" featuring Auntie Genoa Keawe at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6 and Friday, March 7 on Oceanic cable educational channel 56.

The program originally aired in 1997.

On the show, Auntie Genoa teaches hosts Kenji and Erin how to play two of her all-time classics "Ku'u Hoa" and "Alika"on guitar. She even teaches them how to hold her famous long note in "Alika" — after which, Kenji says, "Mariah Carey has nothing on her!"

Erin says, "You could probably go through the Wilson tunnel and do the whole strip (holding your breath)."

The "Eazy Tunes Auntie Genoa Special" will air statewide. Neighbor Island viewers should check local cable listings.
