Some customers now without water

The island-wide power outage has left some people from Hawaii Kai to Salt Lake without water this morning becuase the Board of Water Supply needs electricty to pump water back into the island's reservoirs.

The Board of Water Supply is urging people all across O'ahu to conserve water today, such as turning off their automatic sprinkler systems and delaying washing their clothes, said spokeswoman Su Shin.

"The people who have power think everything's back to normal but it's not," Shin said.

Customers who don't have water can call 748-5010 to ask for a water wagon to come to their address, Shin said.

"Chances are that if you don't have water, your neighbor probably doesn't either," she said.
