2007 this isn't; Warriors will be 7-6

As if the nation's most far-flung league, the Western Athletic Conference, wasn't wide enough to keep the University of Hawai'i football team challenged, the Warriors expand their horizons and frequent-flier miles this season.

A schedule as suited to the Travel Channel as ESPN puts the Warriors in proximity to both coasts — Atlantic and Pacific — with games at Florida and Oregon State before they even play a conference contest. Some NFL teams won't do this.

And people wondered why head coach Greg McMackin's attorney sought June Jones-type contract money for his client?

Last year with all its offensive horses and an abuser-friendly schedule the Warriors took aim at a Bowl Champion Series-or-bust regular season.

This year, with a recast offense, new coaches, six road games and a lot of teams looking for payback, just getting the seven games to be bowl eligible will be a significant and, it says here, just barely do-able accomplishment at 7-6.
