Have your cursors at the ready: Gannett newspapers across the U.S. have teamed up with Capitol Records to stream the new album by rock legend Brian Wilson.

The music from "That Lucky Old Sun" is online on our Web site now.

The Honolulu Advertiser and other select Gannett Web sites will have exclusive rights to the full album in its entirety through the music's release for sale on Sept. 2.

This is the first time a full album by a major-label artist has been streamed on Gannett newspaper Web sites, according to Jim Lenahan, strategic development manager for the company.

Wilson and the Beach Boys have many longtime fans in Hawai'i, reaching back to the 1960s and his band's hits such as "Surfin' Safari," which include references to the Islands. And rock-music enthusiasts of all ages appreciate Wilson's contribution to the genre as the musical mastermind behind the Beach Boys' seminal album "Pet Sounds" (recently ranked as the No. 2 album of all time in Rolling Stone magazine).

Go online at www.HonoluluAdvertiser.com/BrianWilson for an audio player, more information on Wilson and his new music, and an opportunity to comment.

The audio player will include a link for users to pre-purchase the album on Amazon.
