TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEES

"Farmer Wants a Wife" debut, 8 p.m., CW (Oceanic Digital Channel 93). This dating game sends 10 city women to meet a country guy. Don't make any assumptions, though. Matt, 29, is no rube. He's a college grad, working his parents' 2,000-acre farm near Portage Des Sioux, a town of 351, just on the Missouri side of the Mississippi River, near Illinois. He seems calm and well-spoken, doubling as the show's hunk and its host. The women? Some are barely above Paris-and-Nicole level. They wear heels in the country and squeal at the sight of Matt's chiseled torso. Still, there are exceptions. Christa (graduate of a top musical theater school) and Kanisha (a criminal justice grad) show us that this farmer has promising prospects.

"American Idol," 8 p.m., Fox. Last week, judges seemed startled that Brooke White and Jason Castro, charming and one-dimensional, survived. Tonight, we'll see if they reach the final four.

OF NOTE

"Husband for Hire," 4 and 6 p.m., Oxygen (Oceanic Digital Channel 558), and "Princess," 8 p.m., ABC Family. These two recent cable films have goofy plots, but are pleasant enough for some springtime viewing.

"The Price is Right," 7 p.m., CBS. This game show gets another brief prime-time run.

"Back to You," 7:30 p.m., Fox. The first two post-strike episodes have been hilarious. As last week's episode ended, Chuck and Kelly finally told their daughter that he is her dad. Now they try to concoct a story of how it happened.

"Secrets of the Dead: Escape From Auschwitz," 8 p.m., PBS. With a skillful mixture of re-creations, survivors and historians, "Secrets" tells the compelling story of Rudolph Vrba's determination to escape from a Nazi death camp. He spread his story and, some say, saved 120,000 people.

"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. Anthony Anderson takes over as the police partner of Jeremy Sisto. They try to link a death to a cult.

"Boston Legal," 9 p.m., ABC. Denny is in love with a beautiful cattle rancher.
