AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK

American Savings Bank has selected the following as market managers:

Eldon Macarayan as Leeward O'ahu market manager. He has 30 years of financial services experience and will continue to manage the Waipahu branch, and to oversee the Ewa Town Center, Kapolei, Nanakuli Sack n' Save and Wai'anae branches.

Patricia Terry will lead the Mililani/North Shore market. She joined the bank in 2004 and has held positions as Honolulu Wal-Mart branch manager and customer service and productivity officer.

Lance Ming will be the McCully/ Manoa market manager. He has a background in retail sales and product development, having served as manager of branch sales and products at American Savings.

ALOHA PACIFIC FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

GWEN INOUYE has been appointed financial adviser at Kalabash Financial, the investment unit of the Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union. Inouye provides credit union members with personal retirement and financial planning services. Prior to her appointment, Inouye served at Aloha Pacific FCU's main branch as the financial services manager overseeing a staff of eight financial service representatives. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Hawai'i- Manoa in 1993 and has more than 14 years of experience in the financial services industry.

HAWAII AGRICULTURE RESEARCH CENTER

Hawaii Agriculture Research Center has completed its transition from a sugarcane trade association to a 501 c (3) public charity for the agriculture industry. Stephanie Whalen continues as the chief professional officer with the title of executive director.

New board officers and directors are: president, G. Stephen Holaday, president, agribusiness, Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co.; vice president, E. Alan Kennett, president and general manager, Gay & Robinson Inc.; treasurer, John Taira, vice president and senior commercial banking officer, Central Pacific Bank; secretary, Elizabeth Haws Connally, attorney, Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing; and directors, Dean Okimoto, president, Hawaii Farm Bureau; Frank Kiger, vice president and general manager, Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co.; and Yukio Kitagawa, retired chair, Hawai'i Department of Agriculture.
