Hula Halau 'O Kamuela did it again last night in the 45th Merrie Monarch Festival, winning the women's group award in both kahiko (traditional) and 'auana (modern) divisions and the women's overall award, garnering enough points to take home the top prize.

Sonny Ching's Halau Na Mamo O Pu'uanahulu collected men's awards, winning top honors in traditional and modern divisions and the overall men's award.

Na Mamo O Pu'uanahulu, of Honolulu, also came in second in the women's competition in both traditional and modern dance.

Kau'ionalani Kamana'o's and Kunewa Mook's 'O Kamuela, of Waimanalo/ Kalihi, defeated them by one point for the overall award.

Making a comeback after several years' absence was O'Brian Eselu, whose Ke Kai O Kahiki took second place in all the men's divisions.
