King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel is offering a special room rate for participants at the second annual Makalei Amateur Championship, Nov. 10 and 11. The hotel is giving participating golfers a rate of $139 per night for oceanview and $90 per night for standard accommodations. It is in Kailua, Kona, approximately 20 minutes from the golf course, and can be reached at 808-329-2911. The tournament is open to women and men, with an entry deadline of Nov. 4.
