Girlie Girlie

Tag No. 07-16186: Now, this is kind of a silly name for a mature grande dame, although I suppose "Girlie Girlie" is mo bettah than "Girlie Man." This all-noire cat was an owner surrender on July 21. She is friendly, confident and likes keiki. She has a small nick on the top of her head, probably from scratching; otherwise, she's "purr-fect!"

Kaimana

Tag No. 07-18002: Kaimana is aptly named; she's a diamond in the "ruff!" Much more boxer than rottweiler in appearance, Kaimana was surrendered by her people on Aug. 8. She has an expressive face and a gentle "dis-paw-sition." She also has heartworm and may require some dental hygiene, both treatable by a veterinarian.

These animals may have already found homes. The Hawaiian Humane Society and McInerny Dog Park at 2700 Wai'alae Ave. are open seven days a week. For hours, directions, special events and to see more pets available for adoption, visit www.hawaiianhumane.org or call 946-2187.
