The University of Hawai'i Foundation has announced these promotions and hires:

Jennifer Hee has been named director of development for the William S. Richardson School of Law at the Unversity of Hawai'i-Manoa. Previously, she was director of institutional advancement for Kapi'olani Community College. She has worked for the UH Foundation since July 2006.

Margo Schrire has been named director of communications for the foundation. Previously, she was director of community relations for the Institute for Human Services in Honolulu.

Mangmang Qiu Brown has been hired as director of international engagement.

Linh Hoang has been named director of development for Kapi'olani Community College, moving from her previous position as associate director of estate and gift planning, and has worked at the UH Foundation since December 2003.

Unyong Nakata replaces Hoang as assistant director of estate and gift planning. She was promoted from her position as communications coordinator of estate and gift planning.

Amy Watari has been named director of alumni and development and communications for Shidler College of Business. Watari has been with the UH Foundation since April 2005 and was been promoted from her position as alumni relations coordinator for the Shidler College of Business.

Margaret Shiba has been named senior director of development for the University of Hawai'i-Hilo. She previously was director of development for UH-Hilo and has been with the foundation for three years.

Kristi Bates has joined the foundation as a development associate, working with donors and faculty to raise private support for the College of Engineering.

Stacia Garlach has been named assistant director of alumni relations, communications and marketing.

Cori Miller has been named assistant director of alumni relations for membership and chapter relations.

The University of Hawai'i Foundation is an independent, university-related, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to raise private funds according to priorities determined by the academic leadership of the University of Hawai'i and approved by the Board of Regents. Founded in 1955, the foundation provides a full range of fundraising and alumni relations services for all 10 UH campuses.
