ALOHA 'AINA EARTH DAY — The 33rd Recycling Community Cleanup Project allows residents to dispose of bulky items and recyclables from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinley High School. The project will accept scrap metal, auto parts, lawn mowers, newspapers, cardboard, HI-5¢ containers, fishing nets and more. NATIVE FOREST PLANTING — The Maui Dryland Forest Restoration Group is holding a planting trip to the Auwahi native forest enclosure Saturday; meet at 8 a.m. at 'Ulupalakua Ranch Store. HOLIDAY GIFT TO MAUI — Volunteers will spread out across Maui County Nov. 17 for "Holiday Gift to Maui Nui Cleanup" from 8 a.m. to noon. To identify a litter site, get information, or make arrangements to pick up supplies (trash bags and gloves), call 808-877-2524.
