HONOLUA
Trails Day hike in arboretum

Advertiser Staff

National Trails Day will be celebrated June 2 with a guided 3-mile hike in the Mauna Lei (Fleming's) Arboretum above Honolua.

The event is limited to 60 participants; to register, call Torrie Nohara at 873-3508.

The hike is sponsored by Maui Land & Pineapple Co. and Na Ala Hele, the trails and access program of the Department of Land and Natural Resources' Division of Forestry and Wildlife.

Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring lunch, water, a hat, sunscreen and a jacket.

National Trails Day was created to promote public appreciation for America's trails and the people who build and maintain them.
