ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Yogi bare? No more

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Wary of those yoga poses that make your pants go in one direction and your thong in another? To the rescue are YogaSmart pants. Made of soft, supple 90 percent cotton and 10 percent spandex, the pants have a low-rise fit with a boot-cut leg. The difference is they come complete with panties tacked inside so you can bend, stretch and twist without worrying about exposing your intimate apparel to those around you. Available in black or grey, sizes S-XL. YogaSmart pants sell for $60 online at www.YoginiStyle.com.

MAKUA ON THEIR MINDS

O'ahu's Makua Valley has been steeped in controversy for years as residents and environmentalists weigh the valley's cultural importance against the military's need for training exercises. Now 15 O'ahu-based artists explore the valley and its significance in "Makua Valley," an exhibition opening tomorrow at the Academy Art Center Gallery through April 11. An opening reception for Academy members is tonight from 5:30 to 7:30.
