Punahou rallies past Saint Louis

Zachary Kometani hit a two-run single in the top of the seventh that scored the tying and go-ahead runs as Punahou beat Saint Louis, 9-5, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu game at Ala Wai Field.

Matt Suiter and Josh Bninski scored on the play. Punahou (2-0) sent nine batters to the plate and scored five times in the inning.

The Buffanblu's Tyler Young and Evan Bisho also had two RBIs.

Saint Louis (0-2) led 5-4 after six innings.

Easton Torigoe batted 2 for 5 with a homer, three runs and three RBIs as the Owls beat the Monarchs in an ILH game at 'Iolani.

Russell Doi, Wade Tomaru and Michael Nagamine each had two RBIs for Mid-Pacific, which scored nine runs in the third inning.
