On Maui, David Paul's Lahaina Grill has reintroduced its Demi Menu — smaller portions of signature entrees available in the bar Sundays through Thursdays. These items include such dishes as mahimahi with Kula spinach, mashed potatoes, gorgonzola, pancetta and chardonnay beurre blanc and the Southwestern-style tequila shrimp and firecracker rice, all at half-price. AT WAIKIKI BEACH WALK

VOYAGING CANOE-THEMED RESTAURANT OPENS

Holokai Grill, a sister restaurant to Tiki's Grill & Bar, has opened at the new Waikiki Beach Walk retail development at 226 Lewers St. (between Lewers and Beach Walk, on the second level). The chef is Eldon Ricardo, formerly of Tiki's, and he's created a playful menu focused on locally grown ingredients.

The 5,329-square-foot restaurant with 152 seats and a voyaging canoe theme is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Reservations and information: 924-7245, www.holokaigrill.com.
