KANE'OHE
Anti-crime rally at park

Advertiser Staff

A rally against crime and drug abuse will take place at Kane'ohe Community Park from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today for the inaugural Kaneohe National Night Out, part of a nationwide program spreading awareness about crime and drug prevention.

The program was started to address graffiti and drug activity at the park, said District 4 police officer Alfred Sonny Kanoho.

The event will feature anti-crime and -drug sign- waving, games, keiki IDs, and sign-up for "Park Watch."

The park is at 45-529 Kea'ahala Road. The event will take place at the pavilion.
