KAIMUKI
Parking time will be limited

Advertiser Staff

The city will limit the time people can park in a municipal lot in Kaimuki starting in June.

Currently, city-run parking in the lot between Koko Head and 12th avenues costs 75 cents per hour for up to five hours.

In June, it will cost 75 cents per hour for a maximum of two hours, said Strather Ing, a planner for the city's Department of Transportation Services.

The goal is to promote a faster turnover and discourage long-term users from parking there.

The city will present its plan at the Kaimuki Neighborhood Board meeting at 7 p.m. on April 18 at Lili'uokalani Elementary School.
