Cue the Pyongyang equivalent of the "Olympic Fanfare"! Filmmaker Daniel Gordon follows two young gymnasts as they prepare for North Korea's 2003 Mass Games — the world's largest choreographed gymnastics showcase — in the British documentary "A State of Mind."

Tumblers Pak Hyon Sun, 13, and Kim Song Yun, 11, endured months of grueling preparation to celebrate the rule of Kim Jong Il in the massive 6,000-performer patriotic spectacle. With unprecedented access, the doc also offers a rare, fascinating glimpse of day-to-day North Korean life.

Maui fashion designer Maggie Coulombe, known for her clothes' flowing silhouettes (example at left), has dressed Paris Hilton and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The Hollywood connection gained Coulombe an entree to "Showtime Style 2006," a Golden Globes-related event Jan. 14-15, where TV and movie celebs checked out her spring collection in the penthouse of the sleek Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills.
