Pili Taitin had 21 kills, and Michael Tabarejo had 11 kills and 14 digs as 'Aiea outlasted No. 1 seed Hawai'i Baptist, 25-23, 20-25, 25-23, in yesterday's quarterfinal round of the HHSAA/NewCityNissan.com Boys State Division II Volleyball Championships at Punahou.

Na Ali'i hit .271, while the Eagles hit .145. Hawai'i Baptist, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion, had a 52-32 advantage in digs.

'Aiea, of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association, will face No. 4 Kapa'a, of the Kaua'i Interscholastic Federation, in a semifinal tonight at 8.

Hawai'i Baptist will face Hana, of the Maui Interscholastic League, today at 3:30 p.m.

Seabury Hall def. No. 2 Hilo: Tye Perdido and Kellen Ferguson had six kills each as Seabury Hall swept second-seeded Hilo, 25-22, 25-17. Seabury Hall will play Mid-Pacific at 6:30 tonight.

NO. 4 KAPA'A DEF. HANA: Chaz Galvez and Lyndon Pascual had six kills apiece as Kapa'a won, 25-17, 25-23. Kapa'a, the KIF champion, hit .250, while Hana (MIL) hit .065.

MID-PACIFIC DEF. NO. 3 WAIPAHU: Reese Haine had 10 kills as the Owls won, 25-18, 25-23.

CONSOLATION

KA'U DEF. HONOKA'A: Mikhail Graig had 16 kills and the Trojans won, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20.
