Waikele Golf Course
Hole No. 7, 168 yards, 7-iron
It was during a fund-raising golf tournament for the University of Hawai'i Wahine basketball program.
I was the first in the group to hit. No one was watching me, but as soon as I hit the ball, I started singing "We're in the money; we're in the money."
All within ear shot turned their heads to look at the green and watched as the ball hit about 15 feet in front of the pin and rolled right into the cup.
I started high-fiving everyone around me.
Two Wahine players, including Christen Roper, witnessed the ace.
The closest to the hole was supposed to win a cash prize (that went to another golfer who came close to the hole, but didn't ace it), but I got something better a 2002 Buick Rendezvous.
The irony is the prize was donated by Schuman Carriage. I work for Jimmy Pflueger.
I knew the shot was going to be good; I just didn't know it would be perfect.
