The Ehime Maru recovery operation

A systematic search

1. The initial inspection will target the last known location of the missing students and crew. Any remains or personal effects will be taken to the surface.
2. If no remains are found, divers will search every accessible space, a process monitored by video cameras and documented on videotape. The entry to each space will be marked and numbered.
3. As the examination of a section is completed, a ship's drawing on the barge will be marked.
4. The search will continue until all the victims are found or all spaces have been thoroughly examined.
