Astronomer believes in reaching for stars
Nick Kaiser, a 55-year-old astronomer at the University of Hawai'i, has perhaps the most ambitious professional and personal to-do list on the planet. At work, he is tasked with saving the world by "finding killer asteroids before they find us."

Nanakuli Pop Warner team Orlando-bound
The Nanakuli Hawks youth football team, which won the Mele Kalikimaka Bowl in November and will represent Hawaii at the 53rd Pop Warner Super Bowl in Orlando, Fla., is raising funds to help send 27 players to the event.

Ah Mow-Santos leads girls camp for setters and hitters
A setters and hitters volleyball clinic, featuring Olympian Robyn Ah Mow-Santos and three-time All-American Tanya Fuamatu Anderson, will be held in December. The clinic is for girls ages 9 to 18. All participants must have solid background in fundamentals.
