In memory of their fallen comrade, 1LT Daniel B. Hyde, on 6 March 2010 at 4:30am, Team Hyde raced to the top of Haleakala in this year's unofficial Race to the Sun in Maui. They completed the 36+ mile course in 5 hours, 7 minutes, and 56 seconds which set a team relay course record. More »

    The Mililani softball team countered Leilehua's comeback for ages yesterday with one of its own in extrta innings. Both coaches mentioned the word "character" when this wild one was over. More »

    Search for missing visitor abandoned; sharks gone

    HAWAII — A three-day search for a missing man who had gone surfing off Oahu's North Shore was called off yesterday afternoon after firefighters could not find any sign of him, an official said. Shark-warning signs at Laniakea Beach, Papailoa Beach and Chun's Reef were removed at 11:30 a.m. yesterday after Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services personnel did not see any sharks in the area.
