READER SERVICES
Aloha and congratulations on your new arrival!
The Honolulu Advertiser invites you to announce the birth of your new baby in the Sunday Island Life (feature) section of the paper.
At least one parent named on the official state birth certificate must be a current or former resident of Hawaii - or a Hawaii stationed military member.

|
To be published, The Advertiser needs the following information:
- Filled out birth application form, available on our web site.
- Copy of the original state birth certificate. We understand it takes some time to receive the certificate - but we absolutely cannot publish the announcement until you've received it and provide us a copy.
- A quick note giving us permission to publish the announcement. It must be signed by each parent listed on the birth certificate.
- A color picture of your baby (if you choose to run a picture.)
The above items can be submitted in two ways - the first is preferable:
- By mail: this is the easiest and most efficient, as all the things you need come in to us in one envelope.
You can mail the Advertiser application form, birth certificate copy, permission slip and picture to:
Birth Announcement, c/o The Honolulu Advertiser
Island Life Section
P.O. Box 3110
Honolulu, HI 96802
- In person: Drop all items off at The Honolulu Advertiser News Building:
605 Kapiolani Blvd.
Honolulu, Hawaii 96813
- Electronically: Everything has to be on one e-mail, in the body of the message, or as attachments. If you're up to scanning the documents or submitting a PDF, you can submit the signed permission slip, on-line birth announcement form, the birth certificate and jpeg baby picture by e-mail to islandlife@honoluluadvertiser.com.
Again, everything in one envelope, in one place, is the most efficient.
We are usually one or two weeks "ahead of ourselves" - in other words, next week's Birth Announcement listings are already done.
If you have questions, give us a call: 808-525-8023 or e-mail islandlife@honoluluadvertiser.com.
Legal: All submissions may be edited for length, accuracy and clarity. By submitting a photograph and/or announcement information, you grant The Honolulu Advertiser the right to publish, distribute, archive and otherwise use the photograph and information, in whole or in part, in print, electronic or any other media and for promotional purposes related to The Advertiser's products and services. In addition, you represent that you have the right to authorize The Advertiser to use the photograph and information submitted.
