Renee Mokihana Nobriga was crowned 2010 Miss Hawaii USA last night at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki.

Nobriga, 25, is a graduate of Kahuku High and the University of Hawaii-Manoa and works as a sales associate and model.

Miss Hawaii USA is a preliminary to the Miss USA pageant. Miss USA then moves on to compete for the crown of Miss Universe.

Contestants competed in a judges interview, and swimsuit and evening gown phases.

Past Miss Hawaii USA titleholders include actress Kelly Hu and newscasters Trini Kaopuiki and Kuualoha Taylor.

Hawaii has won the Miss USA title four times — Macee Wilson (1962), Tanya Wilson (1972), Judy Anderson (1978) and Brook Lee (1997). Lee also went on to win Miss Universe.
