Harbor Church Stages Halloween Fun Fair in Kaimuki

Family portraits, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting and food were all part of the fun at Liholiho Elementary School last weekend, as Harbor Church introduced itself to the Kaimuki neighborhood.

More than 500 people attended a free Halloween Fun Fair and food drive, bringing in over 300 cans of food for the Hawaii Foodbank. Live music was provided by celebrity artist, Kaleo, just back from a California tour to introduce his new CD, Aloha Monday, and Harbor's own accomplished worship team musicians, directed by Tony Kawaguchi.

"We wanted the neighbors to get to know us," said Matt Dirks, pastor of Harbor Church. "Harbor's congregation is a cross section of the Oahu community, made up of families, professionals, and UH students and faculty. Our move from Hawaii Kai to Kaimuki's Liholiho Elementary puts us right in the center of things."

Harbor's Sunday services are held at Liholiho, which is a 3430 Maunaloa, beginning at 10:15 am. Programs are available for infants, children and youth. For more information, go to www.harborhawaii.org, email matt@harborhawaii.org, or phone Matt Dirks at 808-447-9269.
