The event, which is held every other year, is considered to be the most prestigious graphic design awards competition in Hawaii. This year's event will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 6 at Pauahi Tower's Mezzanine.

Hawaii's 5-0 was created by the Honolulu Chapter of the AIGA, the professional association for design, as a joint effort with Hawaii's Printers, a local organization promoting printing in Hawaii.

"Hawaii's 5-0 acknowledges the creativity and talent of our local graphic design, web, and print professionals. It is also a venue for local businesses to realize the quality and expertise that exist in Hawaii's creative industry," according to a release from AIGA.
