Kailua, Hawaii - Windward Adventist School, is holding its annual Fall Festival fundraising event on Sunday, October 19, featuring a concert by the award-winning, internationally acclaimed, Hawaiian music group, HAPA. This fun-filled, non-alcohol event will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will include food, games and hula and music performances. HAPA will perform at 5:00 p.m. Concert tickets are $12 presale and $15.00 at the gate. For tickets, please call 261-0565, and thank you for bringing your own seating.

The Fall Festival fundraiser is taking place at Windward Adventist School, 160 Mookua Street in Kailua (street parking only). Principal, Bruce Lane, and the school's Home and School Association are excited that HAPA--the talented Hawaiian music duo of Nathan Aweau and Barry Flanagan--graciously agreed to be the featured attraction for this important annual event.
"Often encapsulated as the 'Sound of Maui', HAPA's music evokes a place that many people at different times have referred to as heavenly," writes Barry Rivers, President, Maui Film Festival. He states, "The overriding quality of their music is one of beauty and serenity, found in the majestic tones of the oli (chant), mele (song), the elegant movements of the...hula, and the exhilarating innovative sounds of virtuoso slack key guitar. HAPA's self entitled debut cd released in 1993, swept the 1994 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (Hawaii's equivalent of the Grammy's), becoming the biggest selling CD by a group or duo in the history of recorded Hawaiian music. The group's ground breaking music has established them as the most recognized name in Hawaiian music internationally since their debut release, with sold-out shows from Tokyo to New York."
