A 13-year-old girl told police that she was sexually assaulted in September by an acquaintance, police said.

The girl, who lives in Wai'anae, told police that on Sept. 4 from 3 to about 4:15 p.m., a 32-year-old man sexually assaulted her.

Police arrested the suspect Thursday night on suspicion of three counts of sexual assault in the first degree and one count of sexual assault in the third degree. Police continue to investigate the incident.
