Kalahe'e Ridge hike planned for Oct. 25

Families can hike Kalahe'e Ridge from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Waimea Valley park.

Registration for he easy-to-moderate two-mile hike is at 8:30 a.m. the same day.

Hikers must were closed-toe, nonslip hiking shoes. Participants should bring a snack, insect repellent, sunscreen and water.

Child hikers must be 7 years or older and be accompanied by an adult.

The cost is $5 plus admission to the park. Space is limited to 20 people. Call 638-7766 for reservations.
