Documentary filmmaker Greenfield speaks Oct. 11

Documentary filmmaker Lauren Greenfield will speak Oct. 11 at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.

Greenfield will talk about her recent projects, including the acclaimed documentary, "Thin."

She also will discuss the value of documentaries in raising public awareness.

The talk is free, and will start at 10 a.m. in the UH art auditorium. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
