Furlough Friday or not, Liholiho Elementary students learn

Dozens of kindergarten through fifth-grade students attended classes again at Liholiho Elementary School in Kaimuki on Friday — the second of 17 state-imposed furlough days for public school teachers throughout Hawai'i. Participating in the school's Learning Opportunities Program are, from left, Hailey Sakuda and Taren Kira, both 8, who are making Halloween art work from paper.
