A 33-year-old Makaha man was arrested yesterday as a suspect in a sexual assault case reported earlier this year on behalf of a 14-year-old girl.
The girl said she was assaulted by a male acquaintance between 9 and 11 p.m. April 3 in the Waianae area.
Members of the Waianae Police District crime reduction unit spotted the man yesterday and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and five outstanding contempt of court warrants stemming from unrelated cases.
