HFD Capt. Earle Kealoha said two ladder trucks, six engines, two tankers and the Air One helicopter responded to the 12:28 p.m. call for a 3-acre brush fire in a mountainous area of Waianae.

There was no property damage and no injuries, he said.

The fire was contained at 1:45 p.m. but crews were still at the scene mopping up and looking for hot spots, Kealoha said.

Between 35 and 40 firefighters responded to the blaze, he said.
