Police said the woman approached a clerk about 8 p.m. and handed over a check that had been made out to her.

The clerk checked with the account holder, a 64-year-old man, and was told the check had been stolen.

Police were called and arrested the woman at the scene on suspicion of unauthorized control of confidential personal information and second-degree forgery.
