The site — www.kauaiadrc.org — is intended to serve as a comprehensive resource for information on services available for older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers.

The site has an online library with information on a broad rangeof topics, including assistive technology, civil rights, community life, education, emergency preparedness, employment, finance, health, housing and transportation.

Applications for programs such as food stamps and Medicaid are also available on the site.

Kealoha Takahashi, head of the Kauai County Agency on Elderly Affairs, says the site is easy to navigate.

"We tried to make it simple so the public can easily find the information they're looking for," said Takahashi. "Of course, people can still pick up the phone and call us with questions, and we encourage community organizations to contact our office with updated information on the services they offer."

For more information, call the Agency on Elderly Affairs at 241-4770.
