A 63-year-old Princeville man was injured this morning when he lost control of the white utility truck he was driving.

According to Kaua'i police, the man was traveling southbound on Kuhio Highway around 9:30 a.m. when he swerved to avoid a vehicle that was slowing down in front of him, causing the truck to hydroplane and spin out of control. The truck hit an embankment and flipped onto its roof in the northbound lane.
The man, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
